Chaco Canyon Double Moon

Old painting I made of Chaco Canyon - double moon an after- thought, not sure why.

I feel I may return to the area soon.

"Another message" posted below related to "Mishipeshu" concerns an exploration to be attempted this summer.

  3. You're so mean!

Why don't you share with us bigger images of your artwork?? :-(

(and a brief description of the technique employed would also be appreciated).

  4. Red Pill, this is mixed media painting: acrylic wash, ink, pastel, pencil, air brush. I will take a better photo of it someday.

I am a little homesick to go back to the SW, in particular, this canyon. It really did feel like "home" to me. :-)

  5. Mixed media is truly the standard signature of an artist who deals with architectural renderings ;-)

I used to know a thing or two about pastel, pencils & markers. But then came 3DsMax into the realm... both a savior & a tyrant :-P

  6. Three years ago I journeyed from Portland, OR to Chaco to witness the summer solstice sunrise at the Great Kiva (across the canyon from Pueblo Bonito). I highly recommend the experience.
